And this is it, the best I could come up with given the self imposed limitations and somewhat impetuous beginings of this particular piece. I suppose it is a bridge of sorts between the previous abstract hyperbole I made and the next, hopefully more substantial, piece I work on.
This painting is about the size of a normal sheet of paper, so getting any sort of exact details was a bit beyond me, and yet another reason to get upset. But, that is also an important reminder that more expressive techniques are often more pleasing or interesting, both to me and to any hypothetical viewer, than OCD insistence that everything be crystal clear and realistically shaded and whatnot. I guess this should be kind of obvious seeing as there is no specific real object I am emulating, so attempting to acheive exact details seems like an artificial restraining of any emotional content that may or may not be trying to find expression in these funny little pictures.
